Founder's Journey

Our Founder Story

The Big C... It touches us all in many ways, shapes and forms. Whether it’s happening to a family member, a friend or yourself.

From 2021 to 2024 I have been undergoing treatment for breast cancer.  Thank goodness I ignored my GP’s advice that my lump was ‘nothing to worry about’ and I sought further tests. It turned out the GP was correct, the lump was nothing but there was a massive separate mass they found coincidentally. I count my blessings to have my family and friends to help me through my journey and I’m lucky to have many dependable friends for support, thinking of those who are not so fortunate to have the support. I cannot imagine how it must feel to do it alone.

So, peeps, get yourself checked!

Facts I’ve learned since diagnosis;

🎀 25% of women who get breast cancer are under 50

🎀 Not all cancers present as lumps, so when having a routine check make sure you have an ultra-sound AND a mammogram as they pick up different cancers.

Feeling very lucky today, if I can help just one person, I will feel like my journey has been worth it. 🎢 🤞🏻
