Sand-Free Beach Towels Explained
SandResist™ is Sky Gazer’s premium sand-free beach towel technology. Our towels, ponchos and hair wraps are made from a 350gsm high-performance microfiber fabric engineered to deliver superior absorbency, durability and sand resistance.
Unlike traditional cotton towels, our fabric uses ultra-fine fibres — 100 times finer than a human hair — that are densely woven into a smooth, waffle-textured surface. This tight weave prevents sand from getting trapped in the fabric, meaning it simply shakes off after a day at the beach.
Why Doesn't Sand Stick?
Traditional cotton towels are made with looped terry fibres that trap sand particles inside the fabric.
SandResist™ uses a flat, densely woven microfiber construction. Because there are no open loops for sand to cling to, grains sit on the surface and easily fall away with a quick shake.
